We're happy to share these stories from some of the graduates of the 2010 Emerging Leadership Institute program! “Alpha Phi ELI completely opened my eyes to the true ideals and morals of my fraternity. ELI showed me the importance of sisterhood and loyalty coupled with circular leadership. ELI has helped show me the vitality of developing positive leadership skills within myself. I would like to lead my chapter to the greatness I witnessed at ELI. Alpha Phi is such a vibrantly strong organization, and I want to bring that good reputation back to my campus. I am renewed in my pride for Alpha Phi and ELI is the cause. Thank you for a great week! I highly recommend this to any and all sisters in Alpha Phi!”—Teresa Johnson (Psi-South Dakota) “The biggest change in me is my personal growth in social, group settings. I learned that to be your authentic self is not only to be proud of who you are and comfortable in your own skin, but to be able to stimulate otherwise unused dimensions of my personality. When you can trust other people to positively receive you, you can be yourself and therefore empower others to do the same.”—Sarah Howard (Delta Nu-Maine) “ELI gave me the strength to go forward in my life and live my values with honesty and integrity. I have been so touched by the facilitators and all of the women who attended and will carry the memories from those 5 days with me for the rest of my life. I am so thankful to have had this experience and would chose to do it again a million times over. The relationships I have gained at ELI will last me a lifetime and because of them and so many more reasons I am so proud to say that I am forever an Alpha Phi!”—Maureen Dady (Beta Gamma-Colorado) More stories on the Fraternity’s blog: http://alphaphi.blogspot.com/search/label/ELI |
